What Acme uses
Acme uses one kind of cookie: a sign-in cookie, set when a customer logs in, which keeps that customer signed in as they move between pages and is sent over a secure connection only. Logging out or deleting it ends the session. Acme places no advertising cookies and does not take part in cross-site behavioral advertising.
Acme also keeps a small set of display settings in the browser’s local storage — a mechanism similar to a cookie but stored separately by the browser. On the customer storefront this storage is only read, never written, and it holds no personal information. It is written only when the shop owner changes pricing or site settings from the owner tools, and stays on that owner’s own device.
Why the sign-in cookie is necessary
The sign-in cookie is strictly necessary: it is what lets Acme show a customer their own orders, proofs, and artwork rather than someone else’s. Browsing the storefront, configuring a product, and reading these policies need no cookie at all. Blocking the sign-in cookie will prevent logging in, approving a proof, and viewing past orders.
Analytics and advertising
Acme has not enabled an analytics, advertising, retargeting, or third-party marketing technology, and none is in use on the website today. Before adding one, Acme will update this notice, name the provider and its purpose, and put in place any consent or opt-out control applicable law requires. That is why the website shows no cookie-consent banner: there is presently nothing nonessential to consent to.
Your controls
Browsers generally allow cookies and site storage to be deleted or blocked, usually under privacy or site-data settings. Blocking them can interfere with login, proof approval, and account features, but will not prevent browsing the storefront or reading these policies. Where consent is legally required for a nonessential technology, declining it will never block basic storefront functions.
