Customer ownership
Submitting artwork does not transfer ownership to Acme. The customer retains whatever intellectual-property rights the customer already holds. Acme’s wolf artwork, logos, website, production templates, and other Acme-created materials remain Acme property or the property of Acme’s licensors.
Limited production permission
The customer grants Acme a non-exclusive license to receive, store, inspect, resize, crop, convert, reproduce, print, cut, package, and otherwise process submitted artwork only as reasonably necessary to prepare a quote or proof, manufacture and fulfill the order, provide support, maintain required business records, or make an exact reorder requested by the customer. Acme does not receive permission to sell the customer’s design as Acme merchandise or use it in advertising unless the customer separately agrees in writing.
Customer representations
The customer represents that the customer owns the submitted artwork or has permission to reproduce it in the requested quantity and manner. The customer is responsible for obtaining licenses, releases, or permissions involving copyrights, trademarks, trade dress, names, likenesses, photographs, confidential material, or other protected rights.
Prohibited artwork and orders
Acme may refuse, pause, or cancel an order that Acme reasonably believes is unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, threatening, harassing, exploitative, malicious, or likely to expose Acme or another person to legal or safety risk. Acme may request documentation showing permission. Refusal to produce artwork does not mean Acme has made a final legal determination about it.
Proof responsibility
Customers must inspect digital proofs for spelling, layout, visible image quality, dimensions, cut lines, orientation, and other displayed details. Approval authorizes production. Acme remains responsible for verified material manufacturing errors that cause the finished order not to conform to the approved proof.
Infringement complaints
A rights holder may report allegedly infringing material by identifying the protected work, the material at issue, the location or order information needed to identify it, the basis of the complaint, and reliable contact information. Send complaints to [email protected], where they are reviewed by Acme directly; Acme has not designated a registered copyright agent, and does not hold itself out as having one. Acme may preserve relevant records, request additional information, pause an order, remove content, or take other reasonable action.
